Types of "membership" in USANA

There are numerous types of "membership" available in USANA. It is so called "membership" in double quotes because the jargon used can loosely translated. They are:-

  1. Preferred Customer
  2. Customer alias Distributor
  3. Distributor
Preferred Customer

Every individual that are interested in purchasing USANA product can be a preferred customer. That individual must be signed under a distributor to become a preferred customer. The distributor will need to fill up the name, address and credit card number of this individual online. That person can then make order of USANA product online and get products with distributor price. Delivery will be made directly to the address stated.

Preferred customer can also do auto order or autoship where a selection of product are delivered to them every month automatically without them issuing an order.

Preferred customer only give benefits to the distributor he or she is signed under and does not contribute to the group. The benefits does not flow throughout the group if a purchased is made by a preferred customer. Preferred customer do not gain any commission or benefit from the group. They are just consumers.

Customer alias Distributor

A customer can be a distributor if its upliner or sponsor sees that he or she will be a benefit if placed under it. This type of customer is usually the ones that purchase 100 points and above of product without failed every month. This type of customer only wants to consume and are not interested to make the group grow by finding more downliners.

A distributor can make a customer as its "customer alias distributor" by making it as its Business Centre (BC). However, most commonly the fee of building of a leg will need to be bear by the distributor (RM 850.00 + RM 99.00 for the Starter Kit) because this customer only interested in using the product and not expanding the group.

Distributor

Distributor are the ones that build Business Centres (BC) and also have Preferred Customers (PC) signed under them. They help their BC to grow by finding downliners to join under their downliners and make the group (or tree) thrive.

Distributors will only reap benefits when they build two or more BC (up to four or more) under them. If a distributor does not have two or more legs under them, they will not get the benefit in the group. It will however reap the benefits from its PC.
